I was honoured to be invited to judge and greatly appreciated the hospitality and the friendly welcome from the Committee and exhibitor’s. BIS Corney’s Rilynson Island Princess, RBIS & BVIS Straw’s Kentwella Kassandra at Shaolin Sh Cm, BOS Rees’ Rabbonai Gilead at Miacarla & BPIS Thomson’s Ashgate Pennies from Heaven
Special Triers (1) 1 Hill’s Bonnieanne Norman of Tahgmor, black d of good size, well built with good bone, stands four square, good head and neat ears, strong wide front, low to ground, a good honest representative of the breed, well presented and moved well
J.D. (2) – 1 Walker’s Beaureveur Nanook, nicely presented 14 mth black, alert, cobby and well balanced, good head and ear set, correct front and good layback, moved well when settled, nicely presented, 2 Thomson’s Ashgate Going for Gold, smart 14mth wheaten, stylish and eye-catching, longer cast than 1, a little nervous on the day but with more confidence and ring presence will be worth watching in the future.
G.D. (2) 1 Rees Rabbonai Gilead at Miacarla, 21mth black of good proportions, well balanced and with good bone and well muscled, very good head, eye and ear, good well let down front and shoulder placement, strong rear quarters, alert and active and in good coat, took time to settle but then moved with drive, 2 Cole’s Rabbonai Playmaker, attractive black d short back, well ribbed and short coupled, lost to 1 on head quality and a reticence to move on the day, nicely
L.D. (5) very nice class of varying types but plenty of merit, 1 Chick’s Brueiks Magical Connection, stylish d well presented and moving with drive, good overall shape, clean head, good shoulder placement and with engaging ring presence, 2 Walker’s Beaureveur Magnifique, smaller d but showing a good balanced outline, good front and rear, moved well, just wish there was more of him, 3 Rees Rabbonai Black Diamond
O.D. (1) Bonnieanne Norman of Taghmor
VD. (2) Hill’s Killisport Buttermint of Turnaware, still a fine looking brindle scot and showing alertness and agility at nearly 11 yrs old with natural balance still showing through, good deep front, short backed and low to ground, 2 Walker’s Beaureveur Firecracker, black d at nearly 8, moved well and very well presented but not quite the presence and balanced shape of 1
Special Triers B (1) Kimber’s Rilynson Misty Maiden, black b, smaller cast but typed and nicely balanced shape, good shoulder placement, moved and showed well
P.B. (1) 1 Thomson’s Ashgate Pennies From Heaven, 8mth black, small but very feminine, engaging temperament and showing a nice overall profile, nice head and neat ears and tail set, moved out well and true, hope she grows on as she matures
N.B. (2,1) 1 Rilynson Misty Maiden
G.B. (2) 1 Corney’s Rilynson Moonlight Isle, black b of quality with good bone and substance, excellent front and strong rear action smart clean head and neat ears and tail set, movement on the day could have been better, 2 Cole’s Rabbonai Naughty But Nice another impressive black b on the smaller side, but very well presented and in very good coat and condition , moved well just preferred the front of 1
L.B. (3,2) 1 Thomson’s Ashgate Royal Penny, smaller black b but well balanced and everything in its right place, good front and shoulder placement, deep chest, short back, well muscled, plenty of bone for size, tail on top moved well,
O.B. (2) the class of the day for me with two outstanding mature quality bitches, 1 Corney’s Rilynson Island Princess, superbly turned out with not a hair out of place, extremely compact and balanced brindle b, fine clean head, excellent front, strong neck leading into super layback of shoulders, short back, well muscled and with excellent tail set, moving freely and with drive to show off a complete quality package, 2 Hill’s Turnaware Tanya, another quality b with many similar virtues giving an excellent account of herself but having to give way to the day’s undoubted star
VB (2,1) 1 Straw’s Kentwella Kassandra at Shaolin ShCm, another excellent brindle b out of the top drawer and put down to the minute on the day, showing quality and presence throughout, fine head, eye and ear, very good shoulders and broad well let down front, moved and showed to advantage
